„Ist Amateurfunk in Zeiten des Internets denn noch aktuell?“ Diese Frage hört man oft, wenn man mit anderen über den Amateurfunk spricht. Tatsächlich mag es für Außenstehende oft ein skurriles Bild abgeben, wenn man konzentriert am Funkgerät sitzt und routiniert die vielen Knöpfe und Regler betätigt, um ein verrauschtes, kaum hörbares Signal eines anderen Funkers doch noch irgendwie verständlich zu machen.

On November 26th 2014 around 60 people came to see Achim Vollhardt's exciting talk about the ISEE-3 Reboot Project. The Apéro was a great opportunity to further discuss the topic until the closing of the building. The guests consisted of radio amateurs, students and other people interested in the topic.

48 Stunden am Stück funken? Die Funkbude nahm die Challenge an!
Kann man 48 Stunden am Stück funken? Die Funkbude findet: Als Team kein Problem! Am CQWW-Contest ist während dieser 48 Stunden auch genug los, um das Funken spannend zu halten und so wurde für den 25. und 26. Oktober ein Schichtenplan erstellt.
Pünktlich um 0.00 Uhr UTC am 25. Oktober starteten die beiden Davids mit einem Funkgespräch nach Italien in den CQWW-Contest. Bis zum ersten Schichtwechsel um 6.00 Uhr UTC waren schon über 150 Gespräche (QSOs) geloggt.

After over two years of waiting, on the evening of September 26th 2014 it was about time.
The Diamond X-7000 tri-band antenna was mounted on the Shack of HB9ZZ and put into operation.

Die Anreise zur Ham Radio gestaltete sich relativ unkompliziert und mit 10 CHF bzw. 8 Euro recht preisgünstig (meinfernbus.de). Wir (HB9EVC, HB9FDQ, HB9EXR) fuhren am Samstag Morgen um 6 Uhr früh vom Sihlquai los und waren pünktlich in Friedrichshafen. Vom Stadtbahnhof, wo der Fernbus hält, fahren Busse im 15 Minuten-Takt zur Messe (Merke: Shuttlebus 17 ist gratis, mit Bus Nr. 5 kostet die Fahrt 2 Euro). Wir waren gut 15 Minuten vor Türöffnung vor Ort, und man musste für den Ticketkauf nicht einmal anstehen (soll allerdings am Freitag bei Eröffnung der Messe ganz anders gewesen sein).

The new website based on the Drupal CMS is asuming shape now. A theme was created and the multilanguage capability established, an image gallery is now also available.
